The NSS Unit of Assabah Arts & Science College, Valayamkulam, actively participated as volunteers in the “Vasantholsavam – Vayojana Kalolsavam”, a cultural festival dedicated to senior citizens organized by Aalamkode Grama Panchayath. The event aimed to celebrate the talents and contributions of the elderly while promoting intergenerational bonding and respect for senior citizens in society. A total of 240 NSS volunteers from the college rendered exceptional service throughout the program. Their responsibilities included stage management, participant coordination, hospitality, reception duties, and overall event assistance. The volunteers displayed excellent teamwork, discipline, and empathy, ensuring the smooth execution of all cultural performances and activities. Through this program, NSS volunteers gained valuable experience in community service and developed a deeper understanding of the importance of caring for and engaging with the elderly population.
