VOLUNTEERING AT SAAWARIYA FESTIVAL FOR DIFFERENTLYABLED INDIVIDUALS

The NSS Unit of Assabah Arts & Science College, Valayamkulam, actively volunteered in the grand cultural event “Saawariya – The Festival of Love” (Season 3) organized by Aalamkode Grama Panchayath. The program aimed to promote inclusivity, compassion, and togetherness through arts and cultural expressions, bringing together differently-abled individuals, senior citizens, and the general public in a spirit of love and unity. A total of 16 NSS volunteers from Assabah College offered their wholehearted service to ensure the smooth conduct of the event. Their duties included reception, stage management, assisting performers, coordinating with organizers, and providing support to participants throughout the program. The volunteers demonstrated exemplary teamwork, empathy, and commitment, reflecting the true spirit of NSS service. The event was graced by notable dignitaries and featured several inspiring cultural performances that highlighted themes of acceptance and human connection. The organizing committee and guests appreciated the volunteers for their efficiency, discipline, and compassionate approach. Through their active participation, NSS volunteers gained valuable insights into community engagement and the importance of inclusive social initiatives that foster love and equality.
