SWAYAM ORIENTATION COURSE

The Department of Economics, in association with the Department of Psychology and the Department of Geology, under the monitoring of IQAC, Assabah Arts and Science College, Valayamkulam, organized an Orientation Programme on NPTEL/SWAYAM Orientation Course on 16 July 2026 at 10.00 a.m. in the Geology Library Hall for Second Year CU-FYUGP students.

The programme commenced with a welcome address by Ms. Reshma N.K., Head of the Department of Economics. The resource session was led by Dr. Baiju M.K., Vice Principal, who explained the significance of the NPTEL and SWAYAM platforms, the course registration process, the FYUGP credit transfer system, and the benefits of enrolling in online certification courses. He also encouraged students to utilize these platforms to enhance their academic knowledge and employability skills.

The session was interactive, with students actively participating and clarifying their doubts regarding course selection, registration, examinations, and credit transfer. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Javahir, Department of Psychology, who expressed his gratitude to the resource person, faculty members, and students for their enthusiastic participation. The orientation programme successfully created awareness among the students about the opportunities offered through NPTEL and SWAYAM and motivated them to make effective use of these learning platforms.
