In connection with World Suicide Prevention Day 2025, the Listening Community, in collaboration with Team Incubation, organized a Suicide Prevention Campaign to raise awareness about mental health and the importance of emotional support systems. The campaign was designed to break the stigma surrounding mental health discussions and to encourage individuals to seek help when in distress. The NSS Unit No. 240 of Assabah Arts and Science College, Valayamkulam, actively participated in this initiative, reaffirming its commitment to youth well-being and community mental health awareness. The campaign featured a series of interactive sessions, awareness talks, and activities focusing on the theme “Creating Hope Through Action.” Experts in psychology, counseling, and youth empowerment addressed the participants, discussing early signs of emotional struggles, effective communication strategies, and the importance of peer support networks. NSS volunteers participated in group discussions, distributed awareness materials, and took part in pledge activities promoting positive mental health and suicide prevention. The campaign created a safe space for open dialogue and reflection on how each individual can contribute to saving lives through compassion and understanding. The participation of NSS Unit No. 240, Assabah Arts and Science College, in the Suicide Prevention Campaign 2025 served as a meaningful step toward promoting mental health awareness among youth. By joining hands with Listening Community and Team Incubation, the unit contributed to spreading the vital message that every life matters and that seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness.
