The Science Club of Assabah Arts and Science College, in association with the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), conducted a short story competition on the intriguing theme “A Day with an Alien” on 12/08/2025. The event aimed to spark the imagination of students, encouraging them to blend scientific curiosity with creative expression.

The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various departments. Participants crafted captivating narratives that explored encounters with extraterrestrial beings, weaving in elements of space science, interplanetary travel, and the wonders of the cosmos. Many stories reflected an admirable balance of scientific reasoning and imaginative storytelling, showcasing the creativity and analytical thinking of our students.

Entries were evaluated based on originality, coherence, scientific relevance, and narrative style. The panel of judges, comprising faculty members from the Science Club and representatives from ISRO’s outreach team, commended the participants for their innovative ideas and storytelling skills.

The winners were felicitated during a special function organised by the Science Club, and the best stories will be published in the upcoming issue of the college magazine. The event successfully nurtured scientific temper while inspiring students to dream beyond the boundaries of Earth.
