SEMINAR: AI FOR GOOD:SOLVING GLOBAL CHALLENGES WITH ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

As part of World Youth Skills Day, the Department of Computer Science, in association with the IT Club and Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), organized a seminar titled "AI for Good: Solving Global Challenges with Artificial Intelligence". The session was led by the resource person Mr. Mohammed Jabir from Majlis College (Autonomous), Valanchery.

The welcome speech was delivered by second-year student Jamzeera Jaleel, who warmly greeted the audience and set the tone for the event. The seminar was officially inaugurated by the respected Principal, Mohammed Koya Sir, who emphasized the importance of such academic gatherings in fostering intellectual growth and innovation.

The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by final-year student Adnan, who expressed gratitude to all the dignitaries, participants, and organizers for making the seminar a grand success.

The aim of the seminar was to create awareness among students about the transformative potential of artificial intelligence in addressing global challenges. It sought to inspire students to explore the ethical and purposeful use of AI in fields such as healthcare, education, environmental protection, and social development.

Outcome:

The outcome of this seminar became to be an enriching and insightful experience for all participants. It significantly enhanced awareness among students and faculty about the transformative potential of AI in addressing global issues such as healthcare, climate change, disaster response, education, and poverty alleviation. The session also encouraged critical thinking on the ethical implications of AI and the responsibility that comes with technological advancement. Real-world examples shared during the seminar helped participants connect theoretical knowledge with practical applications.
