The Science Club of Assabah Arts and Science College, in association with the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), conducted a pencil drawing competition on the thought-provoking theme “Robots Taking Over Human Jobs” on 12/08/2025. The competition aimed to encourage students to express their views on technological advancements and their impact on society through the medium of art.
Participants from various departments showcased their creativity by presenting striking sketches that portrayed both the possibilities and challenges of automation. Many drawings reflected futuristic scenarios where robots replaced humans in industries, while others conveyed concerns about unemployment, ethical implications, and the need for human-machine collaboration.
The artworks were evaluated based on originality, artistic skill, relevance to the theme, and overall impact. The panel of judges, comprising faculty members and ISRO outreach representatives, appreciated the students’ ability to convey complex ideas through simple yet powerful visuals.
Prizes were awarded to the top performers, and selected drawings will be exhibited during upcoming Science Club events. The competition successfully combined art and science, inspiring students to think critically about the role of technology in shaping the future.
