As part of Mental Health Week, the Department of Psychology of Assabah Arts & Science College, in collaboration with the NSS Unit and the Department of Physical Education, organized a Mental Health Awareness Rally aimed at promoting the importance of mental wellbeing among the public. The rally, attended by around 100 students, began from the Changaramkulam Highway bus stop and proceeded through the major parts of the town, spreading messages on the significance of maintaining mental health. The rally was inaugurated by Sub-Inspector Radhakrishnan of Changaramkulam Police Station. In his inaugural address, he emphasized that mental health is as important as physical health and encouraged everyone to remain aware and proactive in caring for their mental well-being. Mr. Shimil P.V., Head of the Department of Psychology, Mr. Anshad P.T., Head of the Department of Physical Education, and Mr. Abdul Rahman P., NSS Programme Officer, also spoke on the occasion. The event was coordinated under the leadership of faculty members Ms. Shahrban, Ms. Anshita, Ms. Anshifa, Ms. Nivya Vijayan, and other members of the organizing team. The rally successfully conveyed the message of mental health awareness to the local community and underscored the importance of holistic well-being.
