The NDLI Club, in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Assabah Arts and Science College, organised a thought-provoking interactive session titled "യാത്രകൾ വായനയാകുമ്പോൾ" on January 22, 2026.
The session was held at the College Conference Hall and commenced at 10:30 AM. The event began with a warm welcome address by the College Librarian, Mr. Sinoj A.
The program was officially inaugurated by the College Principal, Prof. Mohamed Koya MN. In his inaugural speech, the Principal emphasised the profound importance of traveling as a vital educational tool. He spoke extensively about legendary figures and great scholars who explored the world and transformed their journeys into insightful books and literary masterpieces. The Resource Person for the day was Dr. Geetha Krishnankutty, Assistant Professor in the PG Department of English. She led an engaging session on how travel experiences serve as living texts and enrich our cultural and literary understanding.

The session saw enthusiastic participation from NDLI Club members representing both PG and UG departments. The session enhanced the students' ability to analyse travelogues and understand the historical impact of traveler-authors.The program concluded with a formal Vote of Thanks delivered by Safoora P K, expressing gratitude to the guests, organisers, and participants.
