The Department of Management, in association with the Tourism Club of Assabah Arts and Science College, organized a seminar on “Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)” on Monday, March 30, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm at the Seminar Hall. The programme was monitored by IQAC.
The session was handled by Mrs. Sajina T P, Assistant Professor, PG Department of Commerce, who served as the resource person. The seminar aimed to create awareness among students about the importance and relevance of intellectual property rights in the modern world.
During the session, the resource person explained various aspects of IPR, including its meaning, significance, and different types such as patents, copyrights, trademarks, and trade secrets. The seminar also highlighted how intellectual property plays a crucial role in protecting innovations and creative works.
