The PG Department of Commerce and Management Studies of Ideal College for Advanced Studies, Kadakassery organized IDEANEX – “Solve It Smart” as part of the Commerce Day Celebration with the objective of encouraging students to think creatively and critically to solve real-life business, social, and commercial problems. The activity was conducted in teams of three students, where each group selected a real-life challenge or a current social or business issue from areas such as business, education, marketing, finance, sustainability, and ethics. Teams were given 45 minutes to brainstorm and prepare a PPT presentation using laptops or mobile phones, and the presentation was required to include the problem statement, proposed solution, implementation plan, and expected benefits or impact. Each team was then given 10 minutes to present their ideas before the judges and audience. The event, coordinated by Ms. Rajitha R (Faculty Coordinator) and Mr. Mohammed Shaheen (Student Coordinator), successfully provided a platform for students to showcase innovation, teamwork, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills

Outcome:

The IDEANEX programme helped students improve their creative thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. By working in groups and preparing a presentation, students learned how to discuss ideas, find solutions to real-life problems, and present them clearly. The event also increased their confidence and communication skills. Overall, the programme was useful in helping students think better, work together, and share their ideas effectively.
