Organizing Committee: PG Department of Food Science and Technology
The PG Department of Food Science and Technology at Assabah Arts and Science College, Valayamkulam, successfully hosted a Food Fest on 19th and 20th January, 2026. The event brought together students from nine colleges and nearby schools to showcase their culinary skills and creativity.
Day 1: Inter Collegiate Food Fest and Competitions
The program was inaugurated by P.P.M Asharaf, President, Assabah Arts and Science College. Mr.Azad Villoonni, H.O.D, PG department of Food Science and Technology delivered the welcome address. Prof. Mohammed Koya, facilitated the event. Mrs. Shabna Kaliyath, Assistant Professor, PG Department of Food Science and Technology, proposed vote of thanks.
The first day of the fest featured various competitions for students. Students from participating colleges and schools enthusiastically took part in these events, showcasing their talents and creativity. The competitions were judged by faculties from various departments,who provided valuable feedback and insights to the participants.
Students from M.E.S Arts and Science College, Kallady actively participated in all the events and won the overall championship.

Day 2: Interdepartmental Program and Food Stalls
The second day of the fest featured an interdepartmental program, where students from different departments within the college showcased their culinary skills and creativity through food stalls. The event was well-attended by students, faculty, and staff, who enjoyed a variety of traditional and innovative dishes. Students of Bsc Food Technology 2025-29 admission got first prize in inter departmental food stall competition.
The food fest provided a platform for students to showcase their culinary skills, creativity, and teamwork.The competitions and food stalls offered a unique opportunity for students to learn from each other and gain exposure to new ideas and techniques.
