On February 20, 2026, the Women Development Cell (WDC) and the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) of Assabah Arts and Science College,Valayamkulam College organized an Essay Writing Competition. The event was held in honor of National Women’s Day, focusing on the pivotal role of women in the progress of the country.The competition focused on "Empowerment and Nation Building," encouraging students to explore the intersection of gender equality and socio-economic development.
The program was formally inaugurated by the College Principal, who emphasized the importance of academic discourse in fostering leadership qualities among students.The event began with a warm welcome address by Shajitha V, who set the tone for the day by highlighting the significance of National Women’s Day.Students from various departments participated, showcasing their perspectives on how empowered youth and women contribute to a stronger, more resilient nation.The competition provided a platform for students to articulate their thoughts on gender dynamics and national responsibility.
