The Science Club of Assabah Arts and Science College, in association with the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), organised an essay writing competition on the topic “Importance of AI in Science” on 12/08/2025. The event aimed to enhance students’ understanding of Artificial Intelligence and its transformative role in various fields of scientific research.

Students from different departments actively participated, presenting well-researched essays that explored how AI is revolutionising areas such as space exploration, climate modelling, medical diagnostics, and data analysis. Many participants highlighted AI’s potential to accelerate discoveries while also discussing ethical considerations and the importance of responsible use.

The essays were evaluated on content depth, clarity of ideas, logical organisation, and originality. The judging panel, consisting of faculty members and ISRO representatives, praised the participants for their insightful perspectives and critical thinking.

Winners were honoured in a prize distribution ceremony, and selected essays will be featured in the college magazine. The competition not only enriched students’ knowledge but also inspired them to appreciate the synergy between technology and scientific advancement.
