Changaramkulam: The Department of Economics of Assabah Arts and Science College, Valayamkulam organized a Budget Analysis Programme based on the Union and State Budgets for the financial year 2026–27. The programme was held at the college seminar hall and was inaugurated by Principal Mr. Mohammed Koya M. N.

In his inaugural address, he spoke about the crucial role budgets play in ensuring the economic stability and development of the nation. He reminded students that such analytical discussions help in developing accurate financial awareness and a deeper understanding of economic policies.

During the seminar session, B.A. Economics students Ajila M. J. presented an analysis of the Union Budget, while Mariyathul Kibthiya presented a detailed review of the Kerala State Budget. Following the presentations, suggestions from students regarding the state government’s developmental and welfare initiatives were collected and discussed.

The programme was conducted under the supervision of the Department of Economics and was led by the Head of the Department, Ms. Reshma N. K. Faculty member Mr. Abdul Rahman P. and B.A. Association Secretary Adil also addressed the gathering.
