The Department of Management, in association with the PG Department of Commerce organized a seminar on “corporate social responsibility- building  a responsible and sustainable future” on Monday, 08 December 2025 at 10:30 AM in the CONFERENCE HALL of ASSABAH Arts and Science College. The seminar was monitored by the IQAC and aimed to help students understand the importance of ethical behaviour, social commitment, and environmental responsibility. It encourages students to become responsible citizens, develop awareness about social issues, and participate in community development activities that create a positive impact on society.

The program was inaugurated by the College Principal, Prof. M. N. Mohammed Koya, who highlighted the importance of corporate social responsibility. The session was led by  Mr. Satheesh kumar c, HOD and Assistant professor,MTM college veliyamcode, who explained about CSR.CSR includes activities like supporting education, helping the needy, protecting the environment, promoting health, and ensuring fair practices. Overall, CSR helps build trust and creates long-term benefits for both the company and society.

The seminar helped students to enhance their Understanding of CSR concept,knowledge of best practices in CSR and motivation to contribute to society
