INTRODUCTION
The programme “Bold Vision – Conversations with Women Who Turned Ideas into Impact” was organized with the aim of inspiring students by showcasing the achievements of women who transformed their innovative ideas into successful ventures. In today’s world, women are emerging as strong leaders, entrepreneurs, and change-makers. Providing students with an opportunity to interact with such personalities helps them understand the value of determination, creativity, and self-confidence in building a meaningful career. This programme, conducted by the PG Department of Commerce and Department of Management in association with the ED Club, IIC, and Commerce Club, sought to motivate students to think boldly, challenge limitations, and pursue their aspirations with courage and vision.
DETAILS OF THE EVENT
The PG Department of Commerce and the Department of Management, in association with the ED Club, IIC, and Commerce Club of Assabah Arts and Science College, Valayamkulam, organized an inspiring programme titled “Bold Vision – Conversations with Women Who Turned Ideas into Impact” on 21 November 2025, from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Seminar Hall. The event was conducted under the monitoring of IQAC.
Objective of the Programme
The main aim of the programme was to:
Develop an entrepreneurial mindset among students
Promote gender equality and empower young women
Create awareness about women leadership and motivate students to pursue innovative ideas
Two successful women entrepreneurs were invited to share their experiences:
Both guests spoke about their journey, challenges, vision, and the importance of confidence and determination in building a successful career.
Programme Proceedings
The event began with the Welcome Speech delivered by Fidha Meharin, Sixth Semester B.Com (TT). She warmly welcomed the dignitaries, faculty members, students, and the invited guests, highlighting the importance of platforms that bring women achievers to the forefront.
The Presidential Address was delivered by Shajitha V.A, WDC Convener. In her address, she emphasized the need for encouraging women to step into leadership roles and the significance of entrepreneurial skills in the modern world.
The programme was officially inaugurated by Prof. Mohamed Koya M.N, Principal of Assabah Arts and Science College. In his inaugural remarks, he appreciated the initiative taken by the department and encouraged students to learn from real-life success stories.
This was followed by an interactive session with the guest speakers.
Ranji Mithun shared her inspiring journey in establishing herself in the field of gypsum plastering—traditionally a male-dominated area. She spoke about the value of persistence, risk-taking, and believing in one’s own abilities.
Fousiya N.P, a civil engineer associated with Huis Architects, shared her experiences in the construction field. She highlighted the role of technical expertise, innovation, and women’s increasing participation in engineering and design sectors.
Their stories motivated students to think boldly, break stereotypes, and convert ideas into impactful actions.
A Felicitation Ceremony was conducted by Muhsina T, Vice Chairperson, who expressed appreciation for the guests and acknowledged the relevance of such empowering events.
The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Ameena Sherin P, Sixth Semester BBA. She expressed gratitude to the principal, organisers, resource persons, and all participants for making the event a meaningful and memorable one.
Outcome of the Programme
Students gained insights into entrepreneurship and leadership.
It enhanced their awareness of gender equality and the role of women in shaping society.
The inspiring stories of the speakers encouraged students to be confident, innovative, and resilient.
