A comprehensive seminar on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) was successfully conducted on November 14, 2025, at Assabah College. The event was a collaborative initiative by the PG Department of English, the PG Department of Commerce, and the Innovation Institution Council (IIC), aimed at raising awareness about the importance, scope, and legal framework of IPR among students.
The seminar commenced with a formal inauguration ceremony. The event was officially inaugurated by Prof. Mohammed Koya MN, Principal whose presence added significant weight to the proceedings. He emphasized the growing need for academic institutions to foster a culture of innovation and protect creative and commercial assets through IPR.The highlight of the seminar was the keynote address delivered by Dr. Devi Raj, Assistant Professor at Sri Vivekananda College, Kunnamkulam.
Dr. Raj provided a detailed and insightful overview of various IPR forms, including Patents, Copyrights, Trademarks, and Geographical Indications (GIs).
